This is a Peperomia Maculosa. I’ve been hunting for one for a while now and stumbled upon one for $14. Never seen one for less than $30-40 dollars for one this size. I’d really love to get the Peperomia Sarcophylla someday, but I’m very happy to find something akin to a non-toxic alternative to the lovely philodendrons I see at my nurseries and on my feed here all the time 😊 Definitely recommend checking one of these out sometime if you ever spot one in your neck of the woods. (For anyone wondering about all the different names in the tag for my Maculosa, I haven’t picked a name for it yet. You could ask if they’re getting any new shipments. I saw the tag from what nursery they got it from and it was from Harmony Foliage. They have a website you can shop from as well. And yes, that looks to be the right place if you met the birds 😂 I picked up a Hoya and a Schlumbergera truncata (Holiday Cactus) from there too before I went back for the Maculosa. This one is so pretty. I want to add more to my collection. My local nurseries don't always have the widest selections. I did get lucky and stumble upon a watermelon peperomia recently that I snagged. Also, I've had a Schlumbergera truncata for threeish years now and she gives me the prettiest blooms. #### Adrian svarte den 2025-06-25 I love peperomias. They’re so underrated. I got my dad a watermelon peperomia for Father’s Day last year, but I’ve been hunting for one for myself lately. I took a look at your holiday cactus and yours is gorgeous! 😆 I’m really excited to see what color the blooms on mine will be. Fell in love with them when I started caring for my great-aunt’s holiday cactus 🌵 I’ve tried Etsy a few times for more rare plants, but a lot of folks look for local plant swaps or Facebook marketplace to get houseplants from. I thankfully have a couple nurseries to browse from time to time. Etsy can be a little hit or miss, especially with peperomias cause they don’t tend to enjoy the trip through the mail. I’d only buy anything online in the spring or summer and from fairly local sellers to lower the risk of damage or edema from the trip. Recently got this adorable little bear paw cactus in the mail today from Etsy. It lost a few lower leaves from the trip, but was otherwise pretty intact. I may consider it in the future though. For my Schlumbergera, to get it to bloom I keep it in my bathroom window so it gets good humidity and very bright light.
