This is the beast that started it all for me. My umbrella tree (named Carl), belonged to my husband’s godmother and we inherited him when she passed away almost 8 years ago. Back then he was about 1/5th the size and super depressed as he hadn’t been properly cared for in a long time. My husband and I nursed him back with a few years of repottings and regular attention.

I recently moved him further away from the window to put up holiday decorations…. And he pushed out THREE new leaf clusters 😱 So apparently he’s going to stay firmly where he is now for the rest of the winter 😆

Final photo to show just how large and in charge my guy’s leaf clusters are. I just love him so much. He is what gave me the confidence to start on my plant parent journey 🖤🖤
