I need some opinions. I got this last year at a local greenhouse. I would like to repot because this one doesn’t have drainage holes. And I’m wondering if each plant would do better solo.

My biggest concern is the Bromeliad (hope I spelled that correctly). Last year when I got it, it was a hot magenta pink! But then over the last year, the pink slowly faded. Is it something I can change? Like does it need more light? Need more humidity?

If I can find an old picture of it the bright pink I’ll add it in the comments.

Wow I’m honestly shocked they all lived that long. Nice job! The cactus will definitely be happier in cactus soil and its own watering schedule. I personally find string of turtles to be very temperamental, but yours has definitely grown! I believe the last one is a cryptanthus, a cousin of bromeliads. It needs high light to get that bright pink. Yours looks a little crispy at some of the tips, but otherwise seems to be hanging in there

lol yes that poor cryptanthus needs some TLC. lol yes, I think it’s time I separate them so I can tend to them more individually.
Thanks so much for your input! I appreciate it!

No problem ☺️ I hope your repotting goes well

Bromeliads need different soil than succulents. Definitely recommend repotting them separately. My favorite cactus soil is Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent Mix. Has never failed me. Avoid miracle grow as their stuff is an infamous plant killer and stays moist for way too long, even their cactus mix. Espoma also has other types of soil, and probably has a bromeliad mix.

Thanks Adrian, just added it to my cart! lol I’ve been looking for a good cactus/succulent mix. I have another BIG cactus to repot as well.

No problem! As for pots, I’ve gotten some nice plastic ones with multiple drainage holes and a built-in detachable cover similar to a Terra cotta dish. You can take it off during waterings then put it back on after letting the water completely drain and let the surface dry. I got mine for about $5-7 at Lowe’s. Terra cotta’s always a good option for succulents too, and usually pretty cheap.
