# I have an Alocasia regal that was still in its original nursery soil…

_Posted by Botanical Hack on 2024-04-28_

I have an Alocasia regal that was still in its original nursery soil from months ago and was quite wet this morning from the soil being too dense. I was going to delay today’s watering, but thought it would be a great opportunity to repot with a chunky mix, get a look at the roots, and harvest any potential corms. Photos show:

The original soil that I was able to get off the roots.

The roots after removal of soil.

The chunky mix the soil was replaced with.

The two corms I found way up under the base of the stalk.
