Do you think my plant will be ok in this space?  
I am new to all things plants and am loving my new hobby so far! I don’t want to kill it 😬😅

I don’t know what is it as I am orchids person, but I would check the light requirements for your plant online. Just do some research.

Lots of bright light but no direct sun! I sunburnt mine this summer. They like their soil to dry out between waterings. They don’t like drafts or being moved. I’d recommend finding a suitable spot and leaving it.

They are also a plant that develops a lot of buildup on their leaves so I wipe mine down pretty frequently.

This is a \*\*Rubber Plant\*\* (Ficus elastica), and it looks healthy! To help it thrive even more, here are some care tips for your friend:

\### 1. \*\*Light\*\*:  
\- Rubber plants love \*\*bright, indirect light\*\*. If possible, place it near a window where it gets lots of natural light, but avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

\### 2. \*\*Watering\*\*:  
\- Keep the soil \*\*evenly moist\*\* but not soggy. Water when the top inch or two of soil feels dry. In winter, you can reduce the watering frequency since growth slows down.

\### 3. \*\*Humidity\*\*:  
\- Rubber plants appreciate some humidity but can tolerate average room conditions. Misting the leaves occasionally will help, especially if the air is dry.

\### 4. \*\*Temperature\*\*:  
\- Rubber plants prefer temperatures between 60-75°F (16-24°C). Avoid drafts, heaters, or air conditioners that can stress the plant.
