I need others to weigh in on this but is this a death bloom I’m seeing? My heart wants to say “no” but my head wants to say “yes”!

It does look crazy big like one, but when I think of death blooms, I think of the ones that come from the center and the plant essentially becomes the bloom. Like sempervivum. Hmmm, I’ll see what I can find online.

I just saw the extended discussion above. My two cents? I don’t think it’s a death bloom. I think it’s just a glorious big bloom. But side note, you can propagate from the leaves on the flower stalk so you can make a back up plant in case it is. Of course you can also propagate from the main leaves too, but it’s so cool that you can use the flower stalk leaves.
