Ur a better human than me...I truly got depressed both times! Both Calathea-one Pinstripe-be still my heart and a stunning Orbifolia that I fricken drowned!!! The utter shame!!

I learned a very hard lesson---other than my innate stupidity! Moisture Meter is my friend and well draining soil in WELL draining shallow container!
