Can anyone tell me if this is supposed to be how a calathea looks ? I rescued it from Lowe’s clearance

I know it’s a calathea  
I can’t tell if it’s dead or not 😩🤦🏾‍♀️

It’s not dead! It looks perky in the photo!

Thanks. It looks so worn and the edges are crispy  
I keep feeling like I should do something

If the edges are crispy look out for too much sunlight or inconsistent watering. Those are the most common answers to dry leaves as you might know.

I love clearance plants! If I kill it, I don’t have too much guilt! If it thrives, I feel like a plant guru!!!❤️🪴
