That’s a little plant in a big pot, you may find that the soil takes forever to dry out, but you’ll feel the urge to water it. Typically you want the soil to dry out between watering. Not doing so can/will lead to root rot. If you start to see it struggle you might repot into a smaller pot.

Mine has been in this 4” pot since Sept 2022 and I’ve taken a ton of cuttings. The crazy aerial roots and internodal spacing make it seem a little desperate, but OH WELL 😬 One of my favorites. 💚

Soooo pretty! I’m jealous! I have a heart leaf and a Brazil but not a micans yet!!

Agreed the pot looks a little big, but only because philodendrons really like to completely dry out between waterings. When the soil takes longer to dry due to a high soil-to-root ratio, you run the risk of root rot which is only of the few ways you can kill these otherwise hardy guys!

Definitely put it in a smaller pot with lots of drainage holes; a 3 or 4 inch pot. Use a chunky soil mix with perlite and bark. They like to dry out before each watering. Good luck!
