# Hey everyone, Bought a vine plant. Never had one before. 😬 Repotted…

Hey everyone,

Bought a vine plant.  
Never had one before. 😬  
Repotted it upon purchase from a 4-6” to a 10”.

Is it okay to let the vines flop over the pot or does it need some supports? Figured they will grown downwards over time as it gets larger.

Would love some helpful tips on proper vine care.

Not sure what type of vine plant that is but with any plant that will trail, it will just do it naturally as it grows. Be sure to check your roots soon, as a plant shouldn’t normally go from a 4-6” pot all the way to a 10”. They will normally go up just one pot size up so from a 4” to a 5/6” or from a 6” to a 7/8”, or 1-2” bigger than the root ball. Going up too big could lead to root rot and poor growth.
