i got this new plant from my neighbor two days ago \& i’m going to start her out in a cup of water while i get ahold of a pot for her… i also found out today she’s called a purple queen 💗 GOOD FOR HER 👏🏼

Looks to be some type of Tradescantia

It’s tradescantia pallida purpurea. Common names are Purple Heart, Purple Queen, among others. They are aggressive growers as ground covers and in hanging baskets. They are considered invasive weeds in several states. They can take temperature extremes.

Very easy to propagate in both soil and water. I prefer soil. They get more established faster without changing growing medium.
