# I really should have taken a “before” picture, but I’m usually so…

I really should have taken a “before” picture, but I’m usually so focused on trying to save the plant I forget to. This is an Alocasia Nairobi Nights (yes, it’s apparently different from a Pink Dragon lol). I found it completely waterlogged at a big box store— with stems so rotted they were falling off in a pile of slime on the floor as I walked to the checkout. I didn’t exactly want to pay full price, but I didn’t want it to continue to die while I tried to haggle prices. But! As you can see—there is so much healthy plant here to love and nurture! And unfurling new growth, too! I’m naming it “Floyd the Flamingo” 🦩

I always forget to take before pictures too 😂 So focused on plant triage

LOL! Yes “triage” is the exact word! I literally can’t believe rotten chunks of it were splooshing off of it onto the floor…it was so embarrassing—but I just kept going lol
