# Unusual coloring coming in on this emerging leaf on my anthurium…

_Posted by Braddah Mike da Planta on 2023-07-15_

Unusual coloring coming in on this emerging leaf on my anthurium crystallinum red. This is the first new leaf I’ve seen with a section that is clearly a different color. What are your thoughts? Is this variegation?

Hmm.., I’m tempted to say there is something that caused stress to the developing leaf when pregers. Maybe it was repotted or under or overwatered a few weeks back. I say that because not only is the leaf 2 different colors (even though partially normal for anthuriums to emerge this color), but because that right side of leaf is smaller and misshaped compared to left.
