did not realize how rootbound my string of hearts was! sooo many tubers, and if you look closely you can see she even grew leaves underground. edited to add a post-repotting picture, hopefully she’s happy in this pot for years to come 😊 now for the detangling lol

if you live near philly or trenton bountiful gardens in ewing has a fantastic selection. i went on a plant shopping day trip this spring which is where i got this beast. the vines are over 6 feet long and she was only $30

tons of aerial roots too! i was blown away. bountiful gardens takes great care of their plants, and my experience with string of hearts (i have a smaller variegated one) has led to this guy thriving in my care :-)

it’s so cute! love the bathtub planter. they’re very easy care plants, let the soil dry out most of the way before watering again (i use the ‘taco method’ to tell when to water, if the leaves are soft enough to fold like a taco, it needs hydration) and the leaves will tell you how much light, white means not enough light and hot pink is too much

it’s useful to point out that i have my variegated string of hearts sunstressed to hot pink, almost purple, this doesn’t harm the plant at all, in fact i quite like the look, but if the light is too too bright it will make the new growth come out super small or even sunburn the leaves
