This is 8ish months in the life of a “Royal Flush” Pleiospilos nelii. The bloom was late in the year. It’s currently in a tough nubby state, as you can see. The decay is perfectly normal, which requires a Zen mindset ha.

For sure. I will say getting one that was already kinda thinking about a flower was a confidence boost ha. This is my first year with all these wild South African sucs, and I am obsessed. Something called Baby Toes that looks like alien fingers? I’m in.
