Ugh. Just throw it in my face why don't ya! 🤣 My alocasia has been struggling but I live in a dry climate so I was crazy to try in the first place. Those are so beautiful and worthy of a bragging post!! Good job!! #jealous

Omg thank you!!! I’ve had such good luck with all my alocasias, I decided to test my green thumb and get one on the pricier side 😅 it also gets pretty dry over here so I invested in a 2 gallon, warm mist humidifier! Best decision I’ve made. I keep it on all day on the drier days and my babies definitely appreciate it.

Oh! Its in a 2-gallon pot?! Just be mindful not overwatering with a pot of that size. Often nurseries don’t put Alocasia’s in soil thats the best for them (best would be forest floor or aroid light and airy mix OR if you are a semi-hydro nerd, Pon), and they also like to pot things according to the size of the leaves above, not based on the roots, so often you get way too much soil with a small root ball that could actually fit in a 6-8” pot. That combined with bad soil which holds moisture for way to long means it’s easy to start a rot issue. If you start to see yellow or loose leaves, I’d repot into a smaller pot and change soil asap.

Oh no, my jacklyn is only in a 5 inch pot! I have her in a mix of coco coir, sphagnum moss, orchid bark and charcoal! I have a 2 gallon mist humidifier lol! Sorry for the confusion.
