# bought this plant 4 years ago in the clearance section in bad shape…

bought this plant 4 years ago in the clearance section in bad shape and was told it was a burle marx. he’s looking better these days and i’m starting to think it’s not a burle marx. what do you think? and if not a burle, then what?

Idk actually. I found this pic online and I think it does look like a Burle Marx

yeah, I have moments where I think it is, but the leaf is more heart shaped then long

That’s true.. in which case I think I might go back to giganteum. Only time will tell if it will get huge and the leaf shape will change

Could just be a run of the mill Philodendron erubescens (the originator of a lot of the fancy varieties like pink princess). I don’t think it’s a burle marx because they tend to branch off and get bushy on their own

I’m leaning towards giganteum. I do have a cutting of eurbesens and they have red coloring to them so that can’t be it. Thanks all!
