# Hey first time with a fern kinda jumping but slight yellowing and…

Hey first time with a fern kinda jumping but slight yellowing and very dry leaves. I’m watering when dry I did just repot when I noticed that there was clumps of dirt sticking and holding water around/on roots. I tried to break as much dirt off as possible with out hurting the roots but from what I can collect that would cause dry leaves.

I’m still learning to master the ferns… But humidity humidity humidity. Do not let them stay in the dry room or they will crisp up and turn brown.

Yes the dry leaves are 100% a humidity issue. Mine is not the happiest right now now with the winter dryness!
