# Help! My poor striped calathea has already lost 6 leaves and…

Help! My poor striped calathea has already lost 6 leaves and continues to wilt and curl. I accidentally watered her with fertilizer mixed with tap water a few weeks ago and she lost some leaves. I did a regular watering last week with filtered water, but she’s still losing leaves. Is this from the liquid fertilizer mixed with tap water? Am i also overwatering? Most importantly what can I do to keep her from losing more leaves.

To me it looks like there’s black creeping up on all of the stems so I’d check for root.

Using tap water once isn’t going to cause this. My guess would be a drainage issue that could be keeping it soil too wet
