# Hi everyone! My fiancé bought me a Maui Queen calathea - I've had her…

Hi everyone! My fiancé bought me a Maui Queen calathea - I've had her for about 4-5 weeks. I adore her but I'm worried she's suddenly doing this with the leaves :( she also had two separate plantlets come through and they went brown and died before the leaf even started to unfurl. I think what may have done it was a cold draught as the temperature dropped and it was near a door. I've moved her out of harms way now. Any advice on what to do now? She is sat with 6 other calatheas, mist every night, ensure soil is moist, distilled water, indirect light...

Wow! I was going to give some recommendations but then you said what you’re doing - distilled water and the right light and misting even too. It’s so pretty! I hope it works out for you now that it’s been moved!

Thank you!! I love her so much! Ha ha - do you think I should cut this leaf off?
