# Hi everyone! I’ve been battling some leaf spot disease on my lady…

Hi everyone! I’ve been battling some leaf spot disease on my lady here 😭 I’ve treated it with neem oil several times and removed leaves that had more than a few spots. Anything else I should do? I also noticed many of my leaves have a particularly dark growth joint from the base of the leaf at the stem — I can’t remember if they’re normally like that or if it would be a product of the fungus. Can anyone advise? Thanks so much! She’s one of my favorites and I want to see her back in good health!

I’ve actually found neem oil to be pretty ineffective. I’ve heard it’s because it’s so popular that pests have become semi-resistant to it but I’m not sure if that’s true. I wash all the undersides of my prayer plants with the tiniest drop of dish soap on a soaking wet paper towel, once weekly until the infection dies down, usually 2-4 times so that you get all the eggs/larvae/whatever the hell else might still be hiding.

PS your maranta IS gorgeous, I can see why she’s your fave! Also love the albo tradescantia 😍💕

Oh I’ll have to try the soap and water! I haven’t done that.

And I know 😭🤞🏼 Here’s hoping she turns around! And I love the variegation of the tradescantia 😍
