I wanted to know if my orchid is doing fine, since last week the flowers have been falling off and drying up. I also don’t know if the leaves look fine.

It is normal for the orchids flowers to fall off. Mine usually bloom in the beginning of summer, and fall off towards the end of summer. They start to fall off when it is time for the plant to start “over”. After the flowers have completely fallen off of your plant, chop the stem down…. So that way new growth can start.

Leaves look great… even a little new one growing. Flowers seem to do be doing the normal cycle.

If this is a new orchid to you, when it’s done flowering, it would be a good time to repot. These have usually been in the same tight sphagnum ball media since the nursery, so it could use a fresh start in your home. There’s lots of good advice in this community when you’re ready.
