# Just spent the last 30mins rescuing this orchid that belongs to my…

Just spent the last 30mins rescuing this orchid that belongs to my mother in law. It was sitting in pool of water \& had to be repotted immediately. I’ve cut away anything dead or mushy and given her new bark soil. What was once a two stem orchid, now in recovery 🤞

\& I totally agree with you about tagging others. I wish it could be a new feature to keep connected. I love sharing \& viewing other people’s plants \& experiences on here. It’s like a social media app for plants, haha

This gives me hope! I wonder if I should chop the top of mine off? Along with the rotting roots?

Agree — keep the one leaf. Maybe cut the one that has the marks on it. But the your plant needs the good green one 💚

Your orchid doesn’t look too bad! I’m no expert 😅 but I think you should keep your leaves as they appear green \& healthy. As for the roots, cut off anything dark brown, mushy to touch or dry bone. I think it’s possible for it to flourish. Best of luck 🤞
