i just set up this spot for my orchid (wanting to add more plants later on)  
is the light too bright? it’s on a timer so it’s not on all day but i’m just worried it’s too bright

What types of orchid will you be planting here?

Without knowing exactly the type of light you’re using or the wattage etc, I would say it would probably be fine. I haven’t seen too many phalaenopsis hurt with artificial light, as long as it doesn’t reach high enough to burn itself on the actual bulb. I would give it a whirl and just keep a close eye on it from day to day.

i have a timer on it so it’s only on for a couple hours during the day. but i will be obsessively checking on it
