Hi guys, this is currently my orchid, flowers and leaves fell off a while ago. Never had orchids before, what’s the next step in care? Do they have a time when they don’t flower? Do I need to trim to encourage growth etc. tia x

Is it going to survive. I’ve given it a water too

It looks as though your stem may have been rotting away- that’s why it started dropping leaves. Your last leaf that broke would probably have withered off eventually too. I’m sorry to say that there’s not much hope here. However- if you want to try, I’d still cut the flower spikes, repot and see if the stem produces any new leaves or possibly a keiki, (an entirely new baby orchid.) But you should know that it will take a long time, possibly YEARS for this plant to grow enough and be healthy enough to bloom again.

You’re welcome, and sorry I couldn’t have been more help, but sometimes it’s just too late to fix an infection or rot.
