# Hi guys! Update on the orchid I found dumped outside a convenience…

Hi guys! Update on the orchid I found dumped outside a convenience store — I can see new growth from the top of the leaves (is this another leaf? I’m not sure how it works…) and two green node thingies (are these roots?) 😁

Looks like a new leaf and roots to me. Nicely done!

One word of unasked for advice: blot up the water standing in the crown. It has a high likelihood of promoting crown rot.
