# Ok so what’s the deal with this stem? It’s turning brown/yellowish at…

Ok so what’s the deal with this stem? It’s turning brown/yellowish at the top. Leaves are green and look healthy.

Backstory: this was growing a shoot and it fell and broke off (the worst) it has another shoot coming from a node that stopped growing.

I think I need to trim it but don’t know much about out orchids. I got this one dormant. Appreciate any advice!!

You can trim it off, I would. The plant is healthy but that is a bloom stem and they eventually die. I’d cut just above a node a couple inches from the bottom.
