I went to a fabulous orchid show today! I’ve been interested in learning more about orchids, since most of my knowledge and collection is in the aroids group. I got my first unusual orchid! It’s a Dendrobium cucumerinum, or as I’m already affectionately calling it: my pickle orchid 😂🥰💚

The one I went to was in Nashua, NH. But you should check out the one near you! I bet it’ll be super cool too

Oh silly me I bet there’s orchid shows all over the place 😂 I will definitely go! I don’t see people post minis very often in here and I forgot to mention that this plant is adorable! Is it a terrarium orchid?

Cuuuuute!! I never knew there were different types of orchid like this! Will it flower eventually?

Yeah! I never would have known either, but a while ago I found a greenhouse I hadn’t been that has a rare orchid section. The micro orchids captured my heart ☺️ At the show, I was able to ask one of the club members recommendations for someone who hasn’t kept orchids yet. He showed me several different ones and pictures of past flowers too! It was so awesome to be able to talk to an expert. These ones will have off-white flowers with little red striped 🤩

Aww that sounds adorable!!! Please post pics when she blooms!! That’s amazing you got to speak to an expert and get their recommendation
