# Having a really rough week, so this Lovely popping its 3 buds feels…

Having a really rough week, so this Lovely popping its 3 buds feels like the little bit of orchid therapy I needed. For years it has reliably had a fun scent- but only at night- that I can only describe as lemon Pledge, the commercial wood cleaning product.

Thanks Pi, dropped the baby off at college- the heart is just feeling a bit tender. (I may have to purchase a couple of new orchids to supplement my nurturing tendencies. 🤭)

Beautiful flower! If it has a scent at night, I wonder if it had a nighttime pollinator in the wild, like a moth?

That’s what I assume about most night time bloomer/scented flowers.

Side note- I’ve also read that most orchids who have evolved to attract night time pollinators, tend to be white/super light yellow or green.
