Hello all! I’m somewhat new to orchids. This had one spike when my husband got it for me. So please correct me if I’m wrong but is this THREE new spikes?? Cause my excitement is through the roof and I need to manage my expectations if I’m wrong 😂

Mabey but my thought is roots but I don’t know this plant so I can’t say

The two little ones on the sides look like roots. The middle one I’m not sure about. From what. I’ve been told/researched. Roots look like cones and stems look like the roof of a house, flat sides that come to a ridge.

It’s roots but don’t be disappointed. It’s good that it’s growing new roots. Means your plant will live and give you flowers in future.
