Please help! Is my orchid rotting?! We bought it in February it was beautiful full of flowers leaves and they repotted it for us. It’s lost almost all its flowers and now only one leaf. This window gets a good amount of light and we’ve tried adjusting the watering schedule. When the leaves fall off they look perfectly healthy :(

Blooms dying is 100% normal, leave’s however, not as normal (unless they’re the lower leaves and they’ve yellowed and dried up).

I’m gonna guess based on the moss its rotting. I’d pull it out and inspect all the roots, cut away anything dead/rotten, and repot in an orchid mix in a clear insert pot. This allows you to monitor the roots, which are your #1 indicator on when it needs to be watered.

Correct the leaves were not yellow when they fell out. Ok I will try to fix it!

Try a sphagnum orchid bark and clay bead mix. Also try a pot with holes for ventilation.
