I know it’s hard to see but my mother orchid has a hole in the middle of the leaf. Is this normal?

I can’t tell from the photo so my guess is as long as the edge of the hole is not discolored, mushy or oozing anything, and the hole is not increasing in size or number, it’s probably fine.

Is it the newest leaf? Splits in otherwise healthy new leaves on phalaenopsis can be an indication that it needs more hydration as it’s growing. That’s only if the above indications that Pi pointed out aren’t the case.
