This guy has had a very rough year due to a persistent, (but I believe finally eradicated) case of mealy bugs. Didn’t want to get my hopes up, but what I thought could still be a root is looking like it’s definitely a flower spike. Hooray for the resiliency of orchids!

What color are the flowers?

They are a fairly standard pale pink/white combo. Small flowers, and no fragrance that I detect on my individual plant. The Sogo Vivien is in my collection almost exclusively for the gorgeous variegated leaves. I don’t have any other phals with this trait.

It’s a lovely plant. I don’t have any variegated phals… and that may have to change.
