# Ok y’all. Here we go again. I was not planning on getting another…

Ok y’all. Here we go again. I was not planning on getting another orchid any time soon, but I was gifted this big ol’ papa Smurf for my birthday! Wish us luck on this journey (again). He’s potted in straight moss, so I’m just going to water less frequently and see how it goes…. Not ready for another repotting disaster.

I like to top water sphagnum plants. In my setup, they generally take twice as long to dry out as those in bark.

Soaking makes them retain too much water for far too long and turns me into a panicky mess.

Hopefully Gragamel doesn’t try to spoil your fun.
