I’m not an expert on orchids, but when I’ve visited orchid greenhouse the jewel orchids tend to be packed in their pots with many sprouts. So my guess would be you’re good to go until you have several more or roots start growing out of the pot

I’m considering getting one so been doing some research. So know that I do not have any hands on experience with these plants.

From what I am seeing in my research, pots can be more crowed before upsizing. How long has it been in this pot? It’s it’s been a couple of years, it might be time for a repot.

If growth seems to stall, you might pop it out of the pot to see if it’s root bound. If it is, then I think it’s safe to upsize the pot.

As I mentioned, I am looking to get one. What has your experience been like? Do you recommend them?

i have only had this one a few months…it has continued to grow and the smaller sprout on the other side of the pot now is getting a second leaf. i have also seen/read that they can be crowded into pots before needing to be repotted. i love the coppery lines on the leaves. they almost sparkle in the light. been fun to watch and cant wait to see how it goes from here
