# Question to those of you who have dendrobium experience… I live in…

Question to those of you who have dendrobium experience… I live in the Midwest, and have heard that they need higher temps and more light than even say, cattleyas. Would I struggle to get them to bloom in my regular 68-70 degree home environment?

While it might not be optimal, I suggest you give it a try.

I grow mine exclusively indoors under lights. The lights are on for 12 hours a day. We keep our house a tad warmer than yours.

Two varieties have bloomed almost consistently for me. The rest perform as expected.

There are some beauties at our local garden center/green house- I’ve got my eye on two. I may need to do a little more research. 🤔
