# This is Ophelia my first of many orchids. She has survived a fungus…

This is Ophelia my first of many orchids. She has survived a fungus (because I forgot to get water out of her crown), she has survived her leaves being burnt ( because I put her in full sun ) and the loss of her first flower spike ( because I accidentally over fertilized and over misted the flowers) I would like to thank her for growing her new leaf and for surviving my learning how to care for her. 🎉

I would wager that anyone who grows orchids has/had an Ophelia. Phals are great plants to learn from because they are so resilient. Congrats that you have been able to nurse her through it all.
