# The first flowers on my nepenthes’ favorite companion, Haraella…

The first flowers on my nepenthes’ favorite companion, Haraella Odorata (Retrocallus)!
I’ll try to get some better shots. Surprisingly hard to get decent photos, and they’re very delicate. I know I definitely need to refresh the spagnum it’s in and there’s a bit of white something growing on the wood mount-I have poured hydrogen peroxide over it, used fungicide everything I can think of and it’s unchanged oh well. Conditions are 65f at night 75f during the day, 12hrs indirect bright full spec, and very importantly humidity stays over 60%. I water whenever the roots looked silvery or the spag dried out sometimes it’s everyday. Very easy going despite being a bit picky about humidity. 🖤

It’s such a unique flower it looks like it should have been loads more work to bloom! I’m struggling in dendribiums right now 😂

Very cool!

Does it have a scent?

#### nepenthomancer replied on 2024-06-25

Not that I can tell but according to other sources it should have a “sweet citrus smell” wow I thought orchid all smelled of vanilla and chocolates!

I have a zygo that smells like black pepper, and a brassocattlya that smells just like lemon Pledge. 😂
