# I’m finally doing it! I’m building my big terrarium this week.…

I’m finally doing it! I’m building my big terrarium this week.

Supplies are ordered and some have already arrived. All this because I wanted a Verrucosum. 🤣

Any advice welcome from those who’ve built a “living wall” in a terrarium. I’ll be using expanding foam to attach cork bark to the back wall, with coco coir \& sphagnum moss to fill in the gaps.

While I work today I have on vivarium build videos in the background and have already ordered 3 more things from Amazon! 😆

I recommend sterilizing your sphagnum (pour boiling water into it, let it cool before using); I've had problems with my sphagnum molding. Be sure to do a drainage layer. Lots of people highly recommend springtails for mold prevention. And on a more fun note: live mosses, lichens, and micro orchids can all do well as companion plants. Fittonias and ferns also love terrarium life

Thanks for the tip about sphagnum moss! I definitely want springtails in there… maybe also isopods!
