# See the yellow-white dot? I know what it is. I know because I watered…

See the yellow-white dot? I know what it is. I know because I watered my first Lithops and placed it in direct sun for an evening. Water drops act like magnifying glass, and you get a little burn. I lost my mind when it happened for the first time until remembering that these get a new, clean outfit every year. It’s not an excuse and I wouldn’t do it on purpose, but it’s only one strike so far 🙂

By "until remembering" I mean I panicked and said yep, this is out of your league and waited for them to die; I stopped holding my breath over it four months later when they fully cast off and consume their old bodies. Weird to write that.

I didn't have this specific species until now (I still have to look that up). It sits in a shark’s mouth.
