# Hello! I’m wondering if anyone has tips/tricks/suggestions for my…

Hello! I’m wondering if anyone has tips/tricks/suggestions for my rose bush. Half is thriving while the other half is a bit sad in comparison. I’m in Michigan, and this rose bush has been planted on the west side of our house for at least 7 years (we moved into the house then and it was already there). It gets some shade from the trees that are between it and the road (~15’ from the bush), but the rose bush gets about the same sunlight on both sides. It’s only been fertilized once in the last year or so, and I used the Bio Advanced Rose and Flower Care granules. I was a little late to the pruning game this year and only pruned it maybe 2-4 weeks ago. It gets watered a couple times a week depending on how dry and hot it is. The previous years of blooms looked a lot more like the “sad side” of the bush, and it’s never had blooms like the blooms on the pretty side. Thank you!

Have you tried feeding them more and pruning them more…they ate heavy feeders and grow on new wood.

I think the fertilizer said to do it monthly, but I can certainly do it earlier if it would help! Thank you!
