My Flaming Katy is healthy, but I have seen no signs of buds. What am I supposed to do to change this?  
Also, when and how would I do so with my Christmas Cactus?

From what I’ve read on Christmas cactus they need 14 hours of dark at night for weeks before they’ll bloom. Not a single bud on any of my 3 so I do believe they’ve been getting too much light.

I have my Katy set up to get overhead light plus a few hours of direct sunlight.
