My Donkey tail is dropping leaves and in general not doing well. I have others in regular potting soil that are fine. This one is in a more corse, fast draining soil. That's the only difference. Does it need a more dense soil?

No! If anything this substrate still looks tooooo dense/soily and wet. Succulents love to be dry DRY then watered fully. Like maybe 3-4 wks in btwn watering. You’ll see a huge difference!

Ty. I've been following the watering schedule the app suggests. I will let them completely dry out and hope they make it. Or...should I repot in a dry soil and start over so they don't rot?

Honestly, I’d consider repotting with much more grit after checking the roots. Err on the side of less watering regardless of what the app tells you! Promise they will not suffer, but thrive — I know it seems counterintuitive but it’s true. Less is more with succulents in my experience.

Perfect! That's exactly what I'll do. I will feel better with it in fresh, dry, media. Ty!
