# Just cut up my trailing jade and marble queen pothos for propagation…

Just cut up my trailing jade and marble queen pothos for propagation and these bits are all going in the compost bin. I feel like an absolute monster 😂😭 Anyone else find this process painful?

I can relate so heavily! The plant care guilt is real! 😂

I’ve cut my pothos vines a couple times in order to stick the top half I cut off back in the same pot to try to make her bushier. I also like to cut off leaves on rare occasion when they get to a certain level of messed up to keep my plants pretty \& encourage new growth instead. I feel bad every time 😂

I’m trying to grow a Jade from 2 leaves I got from a friend right now \& one of the leaves grew a baby root! 🥳

I feel like a mad scientist whenever I’m messing with them but luckily both Jades \& Pothos are tough cookies 💪🏻 \& they look so pretty with new growth after! 🥰

My Pothos was just one super long vine at one point \& now she has 5 from me cutting \& replanting! One of them is new growth she made by herself and hiding in there behind the big ones 😊

Nice, your Pothos is looking beautiful! Mine is a single vine currently so I propagated to make her bushy too, but I still feel so bad that I have to cut off some pretty leaves. 🥲 I ended up sticking them in a little shot glass just so I can enjoy them a bit longer before they fully die. 😆 And yea I keep trying to remind myself, this is good for the plants, but it’s just hard to believe it after you’ve chopped it into pieces lol

Right the guilt is so real!! The first time I did it I went a little overboard and felt like I hacked her up 😭 Practice makes perfect though \& the shot glass idea is so cute! ☺️ WERE GOOD PLANT MOMS WE HAVE FUN ❤️

My best friend water propagated and gave me my Pothos as a gift. I was telling them I was considering cutting one of the longer vines to replant, but was worried/guilty bc it has such big pretty leaves. They were like NO do NOT TOUCH IT! So I’m not allowed to chop that one. At least for now 😉😂

That’s how you end up with five pots of the same plant lol. Not every leaf needs to get saved 😆

Totally! I used to save every succulent leaf and end up regretting having a million babies 😂 learning to just let them go and focus on the main plant
