Hello! 🥑 I need some help with my little avocado pit! I put it in a damp paper towel \& plastic bag for a few weeks, and it developped lovely roots and a little sprout, however the roots bend in a way where they go up and in the opposite direction! Meaning if I now want to put it in water, this is the only way to do it so the sprout doesn’t touch water, but then the bottom of the pit isn’t in water… does that matter? Thanks for the help! 💕

I Will plant it in soil already and the right way, point up the plant will bend to look for light. Also you can put the pit sideways trying to let root go down in dirt and will sprout straight by gravity

You can also just snip the tail short enough to situate it the correct way, now that you have both a root and a sprout it should not hurt it a bit and might even help accelerate some growth!
