What sort of lighting do you have them in? Don’t believe mine are happy where they are rn

Jordan actually they are way on the top of my bookshelf with a windows like 11 ft in front of them and 8 ft to the left of them that are open about 3-6 hours a day. They don’t really get any direct sunlight tho cuz they are so high up, I’m leaning about this direct and indirect light so I could be wrong about no really direct sunlight!! What kind of lighting do yours have in?

this is tradescantia zebrina! looks like the "deep purple" variant. pictures attached are my tradescantia pallida (one) and tradescantia zebrina (two). very different, but the care is still similar. yours definitely looks nice and healthy ☺️

I had one that was similar to the one on the right and idk 🤷‍♀️ what I did wrong!! They are so pretty 🤩 !!The one above I propagated from a cutting and it’s doing amazing 🤩 so I’m leaving it as a hydroponic plant!!🌱 ✨🌱

i've had mine in water since i got it 8mo ago, and i'm too scared to move it to soil yet 🙈

I know the feeling especially after I had the one die and I’m telling you I tried everything to save it!! I think I’ll away keep it a hydroponic plant, originally it was in two jars so I combined and moved them into the bigger one they can stay in and continue growing for a good while!! I was just looking at them and even since that pic I posted they are taking off with new shoots and leaves!! Crazy how well plants can do in just water 💦!! I have been using a liquid growth hormone and I love it!! Stuff starts rooting really super fast like two weeks tops!! I’m new to this but I think that’s relatively fast…There ones were really fast to start!! I was amazed!!

inch plant roots like CRAZY. they'd probably try to root in air. they are so determined to live! i've taken a bajillion cuttings off of mine and it keeps coming back!
