# Is it possible to trim a branch from my coleus and stick it back in…

Is it possible to trim a branch from my coleus and stick it back in the soil to grow? It’s starting to get tall for indoors, and the thought of pruning just to toss parts of the plant makes me sad. I’ve already given away more than a dozen cuttings over the past 4 months.

Yep. Coleus is also pretty easy about that, so you can stick it directly in soil without even bothering with rooting hormone

It’s so beautiful!!! Definitely propagate it in the same soil and watch it become full and lush

Yep, I did the same with mine ended up we quite a few new plant babies!
