Do you think this bromeliad pup is big enough to separate? I’m creating a terrarium and plan on mounting it on some cork bark.

Side note: should I propagate it in soil first or will it grow roots in water?

Grow in soil and let it get 4-5 inches before separating. It could already be forming roots.
