# How do you propogate string plants? I have a string of dolphins and…

How do you propogate string plants? I have a string of dolphins and string of bananas I’d like to prop but don’t understand where nodes are. I’d like to do this in water unless another way is more viable! Thanks

Nodes should be easily identifiable on both of your strings. They’ll be very small bumps - let me try to get a pic of my SOBananas for you. Water propping is effective

You can also put any string cutting with at least one node right onto some soil and pin it in place with a bobby pin, and the nodes will root into the soil
