# I’ve had success propagating snake plants in water in the past, but…

I’ve had success propagating snake plants in water in the past, but this time around I’m not getting any roots at all. I did let them callus for 2 days before putting them in water but they seemed to just rot still. I cut off an inch and am letting them callus again as I’m going to try in soil. Any suggestions are appreciated. I don’t want these babies going to waste!

Though I can’t help you, I can sympathize! I can never get my snake plant propagations to root before they rot. I’ve never tried soil propagation so I might do that next and see what happens!
